Zara

Zara is an incredible companion with a heart as big as her nearly 100-pound frame. She absolutely adores people—especially men and children—and forms strong bonds quickly with her humans. Once she settles in, she becomes lovingly devoted and naturally protective of her home and the people she cares about.

This sweet girl lives for closeness. Whether it’s on the couch, in her dog bed, or right beside you (or on you!), Zara’s favourite place is wherever you are. She’s a champion cuddler—snuggling, spooning, and gently squeezing her way into any available space, no matter how small.

Zara has a playful, puppy-like spirit. She loves fetch, running, zoomies, and wrestling with her dog friends. Despite her size, she is mindful and gentle with children, making her a wonderful addition to a family home.

She is fully house-trained and has never had an accident. Zara is also very intelligent and eager to learn—she picks up commands and routines quickly. Like many dogs who have had to fend for themselves, she may try to sneak the occasional snack, but she’s learning that food security is no longer a concern.
