Tessa

Tessa is a loving, affectionate girl who would thrive in just about any home—whether that’s with a family or a single person—as long as she’s getting plenty of love and attention. This sweet girl is incredibly food motivated (treats are the way to her heart!) which makes training a breeze.

At around 3 years old and fully vetted, Tessa is ready to find her forever home. She has excellent recall and a playful spirit that shines through in everything she does. One of her favorite pastimes? Emptying out the toy box so she can give every single toy the attention it deserves!

Tessa does well with kids and recently passed the “kid test” with flying colors—she happily played fetch with a 6-year-old for ages and absolutely adored the little girls who came to visit. She also plays well with a young male dog and, with proper introductions, can do well with other dogs.

She’s independent enough to entertain herself but would love an active human to be her new best friend. Whether it’s playtime, adventures, or cuddle time, Tessa is all in.

A couple things to note:

Tessa has jumped a 3-foot gate before, so she will require a minimum 4-foot fence (she has not attempted anything higher).
She thrives with structure, activity, and, of course, snacks!

Tessa is the total package—smart, loving, playful, and ready to bring joy into someone’s life.
