Teddy is a 6-year-old black Lab with a heart full of love and an easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. Adopted as a puppy at just 10 weeks old, Teddy recently returned to rescue when his family could no longer give him the time he deserves. He has handled this transition beautifully and is now ready to find his true fur-ever home.
Teddy is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and welcoming. He does wonderfully with kids and is comfortable with new people coming into his home. He settles easily whether he’s relaxing freely around the house or spending time in his kennel. Fully house trained and well-mannered, Teddy can be left alone for a full workday, though he truly shines in a home where he can enjoy regular companionship, affection, and interaction.
He loves getting out for daily walks and walks nicely on leash without pulling. When he encounters other dogs, Teddy may feel unsure and express himself with a bark — not out of aggression, but as part of learning to build trust. With calm guidance and consistency, he continues to gain confidence. He knows all his basic commands, has excellent recall, and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with.
At home, Teddy enjoys indoor play and especially loves zoomies in the backyard. A fully fenced yard would give him the freedom to move, play, and stay healthy while he works on shedding a bit of extra weight.
Teddy would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can focus on bonding with his people and feel secure in his environment. He is neutered, has no known medical needs, and while car rides aren’t his favourite activity, he handles them just fine.
After just two weeks in foster care, Teddy has already settled in beautifully — soaking up cuddles, loving his scratches, and forming strong bonds with his foster family. He is a dog who truly thrives on connection.
