Shay

My name is Shay. I'm a 7 month old female husky/shepherd mix with play on the mind all day. I love playing catch, jumping in puddles, and playing in water. I'll dig holes to hide my toys, treats, and anything I find that I shouldn't be playing with. I love being outside, but I love being close to my loved ones. I'll sit on my bed chewing on my chew toys or a crunchy carrot. I get a little protective when I have something I'm chewing on, so don't try to rip it out of my mouth, try hard to redirect me or find me something appropriate to chew on because I'm a puppy and I get bored easily. I still need help learning when enough is enough. I do tend to start playing rough. I'm kennel trained at night time and get really sad left alone during the day, unless you leave me at nap time, I'll settle easier. I don't understand what children are yet. The more they giggle, the more I want to lick and nibble, and I may get out of hand. I may get a little jealous when they get so close to my owner. Loves walks, can chew on the leash at first, interested to meet other dogs haven't tried it yet. (At the vet she met another dog face to face they sniffed each other then went their own ways). I'll need a little extra training. I'm very highly motivated by treats, so if you're willing to put in the work with a good routine, consistent boundaries, lots of exercise, and love, I'll grow into an obedient loving dog. A home without cats would be best!
