Lisa

Lisa is a sweet girl looking for a patient family to call her own. She gets along well with kids and cats, and based on her easygoing nature, we believe she would likely do well with other dogs given proper introductions.

One of Lisa's favorite things is being outside. Whether she's exploring the yard or simply relaxing in the fresh air, she's happiest when she can spend time outdoors. She also has a big love for food, so be prepared to keep snacks and pet food out of reach—she's an opportunistic taste tester and has been known to help herself to the cat's food when given the chance!

Lisa can be shy when adjusting to new environments and may take some time to feel comfortable entering the house or exploring unfamiliar rooms. Once she starts to trust you, her personality shines through.

She appears to have some separation anxiety and would benefit from a family willing to help her build confidence when left alone. She has shown some chewing and stealing behaviors when her favorite person leaves, especially if she's feeling stressed or uncertain.

Lisa is not yet leash trained and is still learning that walking on a leash can be fun. She also isn't a fan of the kennel at this time and will need gentle, positive training to help her become comfortable with it.

One thing Lisa feels very strongly about is water—she is not a fan! Bath time, hoses, puddles, and anything involving getting wet are not on her list of favorite activities. When water appears, Lisa's preferred strategy is usually to run away and find a good hiding spot.

Interestingly, Lisa isn't very interested in dog toys, but she has definitely picked her favorite sleeping spot—a soft, fluffy rug! While she has a dog bed available, she much prefers cozy rugs and soft places to nap.

Lisa is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the time, consistency, and love she needs to continue growing into a confident companion. In return, you'll get a loyal friend who just wants to feel safe and loved.
