Knox

Knox is a sweet, friendly boy! He takes a bit to warm up and looks like he’s sad while he’s learning to trust you. He loves to sleep on the bed with you and typically curls up into a ball, for a bigger dog he doesn’t take up much bed space.

Knox is very food motivated, and will counter surf if he smells food when you’re not in the room (we’re working on that). He knows some tricks and excels at giving high fives! One of his favourite treats is ice cubes, he loves the crunch!

What we initially thought was separation anxiety, we have discovered is just a fear or hatred of confined spaces/crates. He’s house broke and does well when left alone roaming the house with or without a dog companion. Knox is good with cats (just an initial sniff then leaves them alone), and other dogs. He does try to assert his dominance (by mounting) but with gentle reminders he stopped doing it after a few days. Although when playing if he gets too excited he tries to dominate, but again with a reminder he stops.

Knox is a very good protector, he loves to warn you of potential intruders by barking, although he has never shown an aggression once the visitor(s) come inside.
