Meet DUKE: If you're looking for a fun-loving, protective farm dog, THIS is the guy for you.
Duke is a LOYAL, happy-go-lucky XXL guy. Duke has been an incredible house guest - he gets along well with our dogs but requires a slow introduction if they are high energy. Duke would benefit from a large yard with lots of space to run around; as he is "the size of a miniature horse". He LOVES to play; and jump like a bunny rabbit and gets the zoomies! Duke had a rough start in life and he needs a slow intro to most people; but more specifically men. He may react to them at first, but with a little love and persuasion he warms up quickly. Once you have earned his trust, he may even give you some cuddles and kisses! He is most comfortable with a soft place to lay on the floor, loves to bring you his toys. He knows how to shake both paws, sit down, and wait for his food. Fully house AND kennel trained. He has adjusted very well to being indoors, but if you're on an acreage or have a large fenced in yard; that would be the most ideal place for him to succeed & grow! A home with knowledge of fear reactive dogs or willingness to work with them is crucial. We have made incredible progress with him in a short while.
