Chips is a smart cookie who already knows how to sit and wait patiently, especially when delicious meals are involved. She’s a fast eater, so a slow feeder helps her savor every bite. This girl absolutely adores the great outdoors! Whether she’s hiking through scenic trails, splashing in the water, or simply basking in the sun in the backyard, Chips is in her element. She has an incredible nose, sometimes a little too good, which occasionally leads to some enthusiastic digging. However, a gentle correction is all it takes for her to stop right away.

When it’s time to relax, Chips is a champion cuddler, eager to shower you with affection. She’s a social butterfly with other dogs, loving every canine friend she meets and wanting to be part of every pack. Recently, she met two kitties and approached them with curiosity, shyness, and gentle slowness. Chips is also wonderful with children, instinctively knowing to be careful and gentle around them.

Chips thrives on companionship. She would flourish in a home with kids, another dog, or a dedicated human who can provide her with plenty of love and attention. While she can sometimes experience anxiety, her crate is her safe haven, offering her a secure and comforting space when she needs to unwind or when left alone.

Food is a great motivator for Chips, making training a joyful experience. She walks beautifully on a leash, though like any dog, she can get excited by new sights and smells. She’s a joy at off-leash dog parks, always staying close to her human and canine companions. Hiking is a new adventure for her, and while the abundance of new smells and sounds can make her a little nervous, she finds comfort and confidence when close to her person, seeking reassurance.
