We are looking for the right home for our 2-year-old Husky/Australian Shepherd mix.
He is a very smart, high-energy dog who needs far more space, time, and one-on-one attention than we are able to provide in our home. He loves activity and has done bike rides, hikes, and lots of exercise, but he still needs more than we can realistically give. He is athletic, determined, and incredibly skilled at escaping - including pushing open windows and taking off if given the chance.
Because of his energy level and behavior, he would do best with an experienced owner who understands working breeds and has the time, structure, and secure environment to manage him well. He is not a good fit for our household with children, as he has nipped when being moved off the couch, and he has shown signs of anxiety, especially with kenneling.
We are not giving up on him lightly. We care about him and want to find a home where he can truly succeed. We believe he may do best on an acreage or with someone very active and experienced who can provide consistent training, patience, and close supervision.
Our priority is finding him a safe, appropriate, and loving home that matches his needs.
