Bearsy

Description

This one-of-a-kind love bug is adored by everyone he meets! With his striking looks, you’ll definitely find yourself wondering about his mix — Husky for sure, but is there a little Akita in there too? Whatever he is, he’s 100% charming.

Bearsy is a total people dog. He loves his humans deeply and starts every morning with cuddle time — even though he prefers to sleep on the cool floor at night. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily flop at your feet (yes, even in public places!) to ask for them. And fair warning… he’s quite the flirt, especially with the ladies 😉

He’s fully house trained and enjoys his walks, where he proudly handles his business (often on a tree or shrub — he has his quirks!). Since being neutered, he’s much less interested in marking everything in sight.

Car rides? One of his favorite things. He even learned which garage was “his” and would wait by it! He rides beautifully, either relaxing in the back or watching the world go by.

Bearsy walks like a dream — no pulling, no fuss — just happily trotting beside you. He does have a bit of prey drive (rabbits and prairie chickens beware!), but he’s easy to manage on leash.

He knows his basics — sit, paw, down — and will gladly show off once he trusts you (especially if treats are involved… and cheese is his ultimate weakness 🧀). He rarely barks, but you might hear a little Husky “talk” after zoomies or a great day.

At home, Bearsy loves his toys (sometimes a little too much and may guard or steal them), and while he’s good with smaller dogs and female dogs his size, he’s not a fan of larger male dogs. He hasn’t been to dog parks for this reason.

He’s wonderful with people and has been very gentle with kids he’s met, though his experience with very young children is unknown.

Grooming time? His dream come true. He will happily lay there for as long as you want to brush him — he just soaks up the attention.

Bearsy is about 2 years old, weighs around 42 lbs, is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He’s clearly had love and training in his past, and now he’s just waiting for someone to give him that forever home again.

He would make an amazing companion for a first-time dog owner or someone looking for a loyal, calming presence. He truly just wants his person ❤️
