Lobo

Meet Lobo — a sweet, sensitive young shepherd mix looking for his forever home. Medium-sized and full of potential, Lobo has bloomed beautifully since arriving in our care. When he first came to us, he was terrified of everything and would only venture out of his crate when absolutely necessary. Now, just a couple of weeks later, he’s relaxing on his bed, exploring the house, and proudly claiming his favorite spot—right at our feet.

🌿 Personality & Temperament Lobo is gentle, affectionate, and has a wonderfully calm temperament. Yet he is still a puppy so he gets very playful too. He loves head and back scratches, daytime naps, and being close to his people. He hasn’t been tested with children yet, and behaved well with tennagers. He gets very excited with new people and new places, so he’ll thrive best in a quiet, patient home. He gets very excited when meeting new people or dogs, so continued guidance will help him build confidence.


🦮 Training & Routine

Crate trained and enjoys having a chewy to relax. Sleeps in the crate at night just to avoid any marking accidents.

Food motivated and eager to learn

Still working on leash skills

Learning to tolerate paw cleaning when coming inside

Mostly house trained—he’ll sit by or sniff the door when he needs to go out, though he has had a few marking accidents

Car rides are improving; once inside, he settles and lies down.

Favorite Activities Sleeping in every cozy spot he can find, chewing his Tim’s toy cup, watching the neighborhood from the window, eating snow, and playing soccer with his ball.

🏡 Ideal Home Lobo needs a home with a secure, high-fenced backyard and an adopter who can continue building his confidence and leash skills. Someone with a bit of strength and patience will help him adjust fully to a home environment and continue the progress he’s already made.
